Website Design · Jacksonville, FL

Give local customers a clear reason to call you.

Hand-built for local service businesses — irrigation, lawn, pest, HVAC, plumbing, pressure washing. Fast, mobile-first, and structured so Google can actually read it. I've been building websites since 1996, and I've built one for every business I've ever run.

What you actually get

A complete site for a service business — usually a home page, the services you offer, an about page that sounds like a person rather than a brochure, and a contact route that works on a phone in a truck.

  • Built by hand. Not a template with your logo dropped in, and not a page builder that emits four thousand lines of junk.
  • Mobile-first. Most people who need a sprinkler fixed are looking on a phone, often outside, often annoyed.
  • Structured for search. Proper headings, clean URLs, schema markup, a real sitemap — the plumbing Google needs to understand what you do and where you do it.
  • Fast. No frameworks, no bloat. A static page loads before a WordPress site has finished thinking about it.
  • Your Google Business Profile aligned to the site, so your name, address, phone and services match everywhere they're checked.

It has one job.

A website for a service business exists to do exactly one thing: make the phone ring, or get an appointment booked. That's it. Everything else on the page is either helping that happen or getting in its way.

So there's no sliding carousel nobody scrolls through, no stock photo of a handshake, no "our mission" essay. Every page has a clear next step, the phone number is always reachable, and the fastest route to contacting you is never more than one tap away — including on a phone, outdoors, by someone whose sprinkler just flooded the driveway.

The advantage of building for one number is that you notice instantly when it breaks. I had a vendor make changes to one of my sites once. I didn't find out from a report or a dashboard — I found out because the phone stopped ringing. When there's one measure of success, nothing hides behind a chart.

Built without WordPress

I built on WordPress years ago and eventually became frustrated with the maintenance that came with it—plugins, updates, security patches and unexpected conflicts.

Today I build static websites. There's no database, plugin stack or admin dashboard to maintain. That means fewer things to update, fewer things to break and a site that stays fast and portable.

That's also why the monthly is $97 and not $300 — I'm not pricing in the maintenance burden of a platform I chose to avoid. And it's why your files are genuinely portable: any host on earth can serve them.

How the build works

  1. You apply, we talk. A short conversation to take an honest look at your business, what you need, and whether I can genuinely help. If we’re not a fit, I’ll tell you plainly.
  2. You hand over your materials. Photos of real work, your services, your hours, your logins. This is the step that decides your timeline — see below.
  3. I build it. You see it on a private link before anyone else does, and we adjust.
  4. We launch. Domain pointed, SSL live, Google Business Profile aligned, sitemap submitted, and it's yours.

On timelines — I won't give you a launch date up front. The build is the quick part. What actually decides whether a site takes two weeks or three months is how fast photos and content come back. Anyone promising you a date before seeing what you've got ready is guessing, and the date they've picked is the one they'll blame you for missing.

What it costs

$997to build+ $97/month

The monthly covers hosting, SSL, your domain and DNS handled, uptime monitoring, and up to two small content updates a month — a price change, new photos, updated hours.

It doesn't cover unlimited edits, new pages, or a redesign. Those get quoted separately, per job rather than per hour. Full pricing, including what happens if you leave →

No long-term contract. Your domain stays in your name, and your files are free any time you ask.

Who this is for

  • Local service businesses around Jacksonville — the trades and home services
  • Owner-operated, where I'm talking to the person who decides
  • People who'll actually hand over photos and content, because that's what moves a build along

Who it isn't for: anyone who wants WordPress, anyone shopping purely on price, businesses that need a full e-commerce build, and anyone who needs unlimited edits or weekly meetings. I'll tell you straight if that's you.

Common questions

How much does a website cost for a small service business?

$997 to build, then $97 a month. Every price is on the pricing page rather than quoted after a sales call — if you have to book a meeting to find out what something costs, the number usually depends on what they think you'll pay.

How long does it take?

The build is quick. Your materials set the timeline. I won't promise a launch date before seeing what you've got ready, because that date would be fiction.

What if I already have a website or someone who maintains it?

You do not need to replace it or leave your current developer to work with me on local SEO. When a website change is needed, I send a clear written brief to you. You decide whether to approve it and handle all communication with your developer. Any developer cost is between you and your developer. I'll recommend repair or replacement only when the existing site is demonstrably holding the work back.

Do I own the site?

Yes. Domain in your name from day one, files yours free whenever you ask. If you leave, I'll hand them over or move the site to your own hosting for $125.

Will I rank #1 on Google?

I won't promise that and you should be wary of anyone who does. What you get is the foundation — a fast, properly structured site Google can read. Here's a site I built that did rank #1, with the screenshots to back it up and an honest note about what that does and doesn't prove.
