Community Partnership

One organization each year. A full year of work, free.

Successful businesses should give back to the communities that support them. Each year I take on one Community Partnership — a website, SEO, or both, for a full year, at no cost.

Who it's for

A local small business, nonprofit or community organization doing good work around Jacksonville.

It doesn't have to be the biggest organization or have the best presentation. I'm looking for people whose work would benefit from being easier to find and understand online.

What they get

  • A full year of service, free
  • A website built the same way any paying client's would be — no stripped-down charity version
  • Or SEO work, or both, depending on what would actually help
  • Hosting included for that year
  • After that I move it onto their own permanent hosting, free — the site stays up, and it stays theirs

There's no application

This starts with a nomination. You can nominate an organization you know, or nominate one you're part of.

Tell me what they do, who they help and why you think this work would make a difference for them. It doesn't need to sound like a sales pitch.

One partnership each year

I'll personally read every nomination. I can only choose one organization each year, but nominations remain under consideration for the following year.

A nomination stays on the list. If it isn't this year's, it's still on the list next year.

And the year does end — but the website doesn't. I hand it over rather than switch it off. The domain is already in their name, the files are theirs, and I move the site onto their own permanent hosting so it keeps running at no cost. Nobody gets a bill in month thirteen, and nobody is left with a site that quietly goes dark after they've printed it on everything.

Nominate an organization

Tell me about them. The "why" matters far more than anything else on this form — a couple of honest sentences beats a polished paragraph.

I read every one. One partnership a year, so I can't promise a reply — but nothing gets thrown away.
